While residing in London in 1971, friends Issac Tigrett & Peter Morton set out to find a good American burger, which was difficult to find across the pond at the time. Eric Clapton began visiting the London café and ultimately requested that owner Issac Tigrett hang his guitar over his favorite bar stool to “mark his spot.” A week later, Pete Townshend from The Who mailed his guitar to the café to secure his own spot, launching the restaurant’s now-legendary selection of instruments.
