It’s all work from home now, and this pandemic took our weekends where we used to go out to have a gala time. So we end up on a Friday night spending time with our laptops watching suspense thrillers online. Pandemic has entirely changed our lifestyles, and we are primarily online surfing or watching something. There are some dull days when you are too confused to pick a genre or a show to watch. So, to make staying at home fun, we have short-listed some excellent Suspense thriller T.V. shows on Amazon Prime. And, for that, all you would have to do is have an account on Amazon Prime or call some friends and borrow their password. We all do that, don’t we?
Agatha Christie’s The A.B.C. Murders
Starting with my favorite Agatha Christie. I have been reading Agatha’s books since childhood, and she never fails to amaze her readers. This mystery show is adapted from one of the Agatha Christie Crime Novels. The name of the series is “Agatha Christie’s The A.B.C. Murders(2018),” starring John Malkovich as Hercule Poirot, a detective who first got insulted by someone whose initials were “A.B.C.” continuing; he further received threatening letters from the same guy. So the retired investigator jumps and starts sorting up the puzzles to figure out the mystery. I would highly recommend this T.V. show, and I assure you, you won’t regret watching it.
Alias
Are you looking for a perfect action series? Then, J.J. Abram’s Alias(2001-2006) is the one for you. It is not just a regular action show with extraordinary action sequences; it is a kind of thrill to connect. This sow also provides depth to the female cast with action scenes. You should watch this one as it’s indeed the time to put those bond movies bring Bristow.
Detective Anna
Detective Anna is A T.V. show that came around 2016 where the main lead finds that she can connect with the dead and listen to them. She gradually started communicating with those who passed away with a motive and solves those cold case investigations. The show showcases the 19th century and Anna, who is 19 and has newly discovered her supernatural powers while dreaming.
Absentia
The whole aura of this T.V. show is chilling while the tables turn when it becomes a thriller. The story of “Absentia” (2017-present) revolves around an F.B.I. agent Emily Byrne who is missing for six years and is declared dead while she is alive and doing something unexpected. Her return came with a lot of questions and mysteries.
The show is starring Stana Katic as Emily Byrne.
Bosch
Bosch, released in 2014, is also one of the T.V. show that I would highly recommend. It’s a package of all police detective drama that we all love. The plots built are in a way that makes you want to binge on this how.
Dexter
If you still haven’t watched DEXTER, well, this article is a sign for you. The show ran for eight seasons from 2006 to 2013. The story is about a blood splatter analyst during the daytime and turns into a psychopath who carries urges into justice during the night. The show has enough murder, fun, and mystery inside it for you that will keep you binge-watching this show.
Fearless
Fearless, released in 2017, where you will watch a human right lawyer, Emma Banville (Helen McCrory) plans and makes her efforts to set an innocent man free who has been in prison for 14 years because of a murder accusation him. And, she is not frightened to fight till the end as she is seen as a woman who can reach heights to find the honest answer.
Homecoming
Last, I have for you, Homecoming(2018- present), adapted from a famous podcast with the same name. Starring Julia Roberts as Heidi Bergman, she manages to pull together her therapist work at the centre for PTSD patients. The government’s new rule regarding the veterans makes Bergman start with her investigation of the recallings from her last job. The show has an excellent new storyline that also continues in season 2. I guess this list from Amazon prime will surely help you get through lockdown if it extends. However, the situation is hopefully getting better after the vaccinations. Anyways, some shows can mysteriously spend your time.
