Bella Watts is the daughter of Shanann, who was pregnant with Bella when she disappeared. On August 13, 2018, her father, Chris Watts, appeared on Dr. Phil to talk about his missing wife, his missing daughter, and the fact that he had killed them.

Two American girls named Bella and Celeste Watts were killed by their father, Chris, and mom Shanann Rzucek.

Chris was found guilty of murder on November 6. The decision by the district attorney to not pursue the death penalty for Chris, in response to the request of Shanann’s family, who did not want any more deaths on their hands. 

The judge was lenient and decided to agree to the plea deal. Unfortunately for him, on November 19, he was sentenced to five life sentences without parole for each of those convictions. 

He was sentenced to 48 years in prison for killing Shanann and 36 years for deleting evidence and covering up the murder. His prison sentence began immediately.

The Murder Controversy

Sometime around 1:48 a.m on August 13, 2018, Shanann returned from a business trip to Arizona, where her husband Chris was home with their children. On the morning of the 14 th, Shanann and Chris argued over the divorce as all hell broke loose. According to the interview he gave to investigators, he strangled Shanann following a family fight in Frederick’s home. When Shanann was dead, he dragged her body down the stairs but was noticed by his eldest daughter, Bella, who cried.

He then drove Shanann and his two daughters to an oil site that he managed for Anadarko Petroleum. About forty-five minutes passed, and Chris dropped them off on the property.

According to his interview, Chris Watts killed both girls with a blanket before placing their bodies in oil tanks on the property of Anadarko Petroleum. After he did this, he drove them.
