How much do you think a Constructor Worker can earn? – There are many ways to make a living, but construction can be rewarding. Entry-level positions don’t pay very well, but they pay better than many other positions. As you gain experience, the amount you earn can also increase significantly. The construction industry employs about 7.4 million people, according to January 2021 data compiled by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.    

Average Construction Worker Hourly Pay

The median hourly wage was $32.11, making the average annual builder salary about $64,220, assuming they work 40 hours a week and 50 weeks a year, which isn’t always the case. Remuneration varies based on experience, skill level, location and type of work performed. Work may vary depending on the season and economic conditions.    

Construction Laborer and Helper Wages

The men and women who lead and operate heavy machinery on construction sites make far more than they do on land.  

Construction Manager and Supervisor Salaries

According to the BLS, their median income in 2019 was $48,160. The top 10 per cent made over $84,650, while the bottom 10 per cent made less than $31,780.    

In most cases, their pay is determined by experience, demand, and the type of equipment for which the operators are responsible. This job usually does not require a college degree or state license, except in some cases, a commercial driver’s license. Many receive on-the-job training, and some may take a vocational college course to learn how to drive and use construction equipment.    

According to the BLS, the median annual income for construction managers in 2019 was $95,260. The bottom 10 per cent earned less than $56,140, ​​while the top 10 per cent earned more than $164,790.   

In addition to these salaries, many construction managers are also eligible for bonuses based on the amount of revenue they generate for the company. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average salary for a first-line supervisor in 2019 was $66,210. The top 10% earn more than $106,900, while the bottom 10% earn less than $42,730. As with other jobs in the construction industry, wages vary depending on the work done.
