The Kula Lavender Farm, located on the slants of Haleakala National Park, is fragrant purple heaven, unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. More than 55,000 lavender plants, olive trees, hydrangea blooms, and succulents can be found here. Although lavender is not native to Maui, it thrives in our relaxed, dry environment and flowers all year. Ali’i Chang, an agrarian craftsman, was given lavender by a personal friend in 2001 and used it to create a fantastic greenhouse. The Maui Lavender Farm is now a testament to Ali’i’s love for the earth.

Take a Tour

The Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm is lovely to meander, with all-encompassing views and quiet strolling paths. Daily guided walking tours are available from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and cover the ranch’s collection of experiences, motivation, and future objectives. With timely appointments, visits usually last 30 to 40 minutes and cost $12 per person. Visitors can also take a leisurely tour of the ranch in the back of a comfortable five-person golf truck. Directed truck visits are available between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day. The farm provides gourmet cookout containers with options like wraps, sandwiches, mixed greens, and lavender-blended pastries to make your experience even more memorable.

Tip: If you’re travelling with younger children, look for beaches with gentle waves where your child will be able to skip and sprinkle with ease. West Maui’s Kapalua Beach and Napili Beach, and Polo Beach on the south side are probably the calmest areas.
