Requirements to Enter Germany from the U.S.
Currently, Germany does not consider the United States an infectious variant or high-risk region. Individuals aged 12 and up who are traveling from the United States to Germany should bring one of the following items:
- Proof of a negative test result during the previous 48 hours (for quick testing) or 72 hours (for more extended tests) (for PCR tests)
- Proof of vaccination
- Verification of recovery from Covid-19 between 28 days and half a year before the appearance

Requirements to Enter the U.S. from Germany
All travellers aged two and up must present proof of a negative Covid-19 test done within one day of departure for their journey to the United States.
Unlike previous requirements, which considered a more extended schedule for vaccinated travellers, this new requirement treats all travellers equally, regardless of immunization status. Currently, either a PCR or an Antigen test is accepted as proof of Covid-19 negative status.
It’s important to note that the conditions include taking it within one scheduled day, not just within 24 hours of your flight. This means that tourists may need to invest money the day before their departure, regardless of when their trip ends.
Travelers who have recently recovered from Covid-19, on the other hand, may provide documentation of their recovery. A positive Covid-19 viral test result from within 90 days of the flight’s departure, as well as a letter from an approved medical care provider confirming the traveller’s clearance to fly, are among the accepted documents.
If you are not a U.S. resident and do not have U.S. movement status, you must provide proof of immunization before embarking on a journey to the United States.
