How many times have you heard this phrase, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”? Well, I have heard it thousands of time. Did you know this original phrase was “Eat an apple on going to bed, and you will keep the doctor from earning his bread”? Which in the early 20th century was rephrased to “An apple a doctor, no doctor to pay” and “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. (By Taggart)
