How is it calculated?

Amazon.Com Inc is the latest major tech company to cut its price per share through a stock split. Famous e-commerce giant Amazon (AMZN 5.41) announced a 20-for-1 stock split after the market closed on March 9. Amazon.com Inc reported its first stock split since the dot-com boom, telling investors on Wednesday that they would get 20 shares for every share they currently own. In addition, there is no set expiration date, which means that Amazon may decide not to repurchase the shares. For example, a publicly-traded company with 10 million shares outstanding, each trading at $10, would have a market capitalization of $100 million.
