Marvel Phase 5 and 6 Confirms Two New Avengers Movie

No, the wait is not over; it has just begun. Comic-Con, San Diego, California, from July 21 to 24, hosted the eagerly awaited MCU scheduled launch event. On Saturday, July 23, Keven Feige, president of Marvel Studios, attended Comic-Con this past weekend with a number of other celebrities. They reveal the slate of upcoming movies under the Marvel Phase 5 and Phase 6.

Usually, MCU fans get excited with one movie release confirmation. But at Comic-Con, they found the jackpot.

Welcome to The Multiverse

Infinity Saga came over at the end of Phase 3. MCU Phases 4 to 6 will now be known as  “Multiverse Saga.” It totally makes sense after the first season of Loki and the movie Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. Many Marvel parallel universes will appear in more and more movies and television shows.

The Secret Wars narrative in the comics ended many multiverse realities, with the exception of fan favorites segments. Thus resetting the Marvel cinematic universe. Could Marvel also undergo a major reboot?

Avengers: Endgame brings an end to the monumental Infinity Saga. Since then, Marvel has produced 12 films and TV episodes. Usually, the MCU movies connect one show with another. But in this span of movies, none of them have felt particularly related to one another.

However, plots are going to have a connection with one another from now on with the introduction of a list of shows and movies. Just like Infinity Saga connects the plots of one film to another, MCU may again connect them to conclude Multiverse Saga.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will Mark the End of MCU Phase 4

Phase 4 has been somewhat chaotic. Marvel was left without several of its most famous characters after Avengers: Endgame, namely Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Evans (Captain America), and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man).

Moreover, the pandemic messed up the release schedule that Marvel had set. Wandavision was supposed to debut after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, not before it. However, life turns to normal, so the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie slates.

Kevin Feige at the Comic-Con said that “resetting the MCU and getting to know all these new characters were the focus of phase 4.”

The She-Hulk television series, in which Tatiana Maslany plays Bruce Banner’s cousin, and the eagerly anticipated-sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will mark the end of Phase 4.

Who is the Bad Villian of Marvel Phase 5 and 6?

Who will be the “New Thanos”? Kevin Feige made it very clear that Kang the Conqueror would have a similar role in Marvel Phase 5 and Phase 6 as Thanos in Infinity Saga.  At the Comic-Con panel, Jonathan Majors come up to the stage as the evil genius who seeks to rule the multiverse. Kang will be the antagonist in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but his drive for power will actually just be getting started.

Kang is thus Marvel’s future. Majors’ spectacular acting debut as a Kang variation in the television series Loki, it became evident that Kang would pose a greater existential threat to the MCU than Thanos ever did.

The title of the sixth movie in Phase 6 will be Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Therefore, it is confirmed that a will be another assembling of the Avengers. It is unknown exactly who will be on that team.

The revelations were far from over. Kevin Feige also revealed the long-awaited Fantastic Four franchise relaunch. Yes, you heard it right! After two launch failures, Fantastic Four will develop under the MCU roof.

Moreover, The Avengers vs. Kang movie and Avengers: Secret Wars are films that would debut in the far-off Phase 6 of the MCU.

We have no idea who else might be in this movie besides Kang. Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel are potential additions to an Avengers team that might face Kang to save the universe once again.

Therefore, Phase 6 will undoubtedly be more detailed. Marvel hasn’t utilized this year to make any significant X-Men movie announcements. Ten films and six Disney Plus series have so far been made public. Fans bet the figure will go up. Indeed, there is more to follow. But for the time being, this will undoubtedly be enough to create a significant amount of hype.
