We’re Getting a New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game, Details Here

Greetings, gamers! A new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game is in development, and it’ll be a classic beat ’em up.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is the title of the planned game, and it promises to be similar to the TMNT arcade games released in 1989 and 1991. Dotemu, the publisher, announced the news on Wednesday with a clip that triggered our nostalgia. The video begins with a flashback to the original TMNT cartoon series before revealing the entire cast and some gameplay.

The characters have been rendered with old-school digital sprites, just like in the original arcade TMNT games, as you can see. The fact that you and three others can play as all four ninja turtles in the game is possibly the most crucial feature.

“Bash your way through magnificent pixel art locations and defeat tonnes of hellacious opponents with your favourite Turtle, each with his own powers and moves—making each run unique,” according to Dotemu’s product website. “Select a fighter, defeat your opponents with radical combos, and engage in furious combats packed with magnificent action and outrageous ninja abilities.”

The turtles won’t be the only ones fighting the villains, according to the trailer. In the footage, news reporter April O’Neil is shown assaulting foot soldiers, followed by Master Splinter riding a skateboard to take out a robot drone.

Dotemu also published the Streets of Rage 4 game, which was another successful reincarnation of a classic beat ’em up series. As a result, we’re optimistic that the studio will be able to build a TMNT game that fans will enjoy. Dotemu has enlisted the help of Tribute Games, the creators of Panzer Paladin and Mercenary Kings, to create the future game.

The new TMNT game will be released by Dotemu for PC and platforms. The future game has a Steam page as well.
